Renault 5 GT Turbo Imported from South Africa. Is a genuine car but some has fitted a standard engine with no Turbo and also the interior has been changed / retrimmed. Bodyshell is in very good condition and would be ideal for someone with a complete but rotten car. The NOVA declaration has been done and all import duty paid. The car will need an MOT before Uk registering. We will fill out all the registration paperwork for the new owner so when its MOtd it can be sent away.

 

Body - Renault 5 GT turbo shell which has been verified by the Vin Number. Rare Blue colour 495. Good solid shell with no signs of any serious rot. All the bodykit appears in good order. Front bumper may have been cut for the intercooler which is connected to nothing!! Paintwork is perfectly useable and presentable but if you wanted a show car youd need to repaint it.

 

Mechanics - Appears to have been fitted with a standard 1,4 Engine, which the seller kind of forgot to tell me about in South Africa. we have had it started and running briefly.It has an electric fuel pump fitted which struggles to prime up. If you prime it up manually then the car will start. This will need looking at. We have only driven it round the yard so cant really comment on brakes clutch and suspension.

 

Interior - Appears to have the correct GT Turbo dash. I dont know enough about these but the seats look wrong and either been recovered or changed so that would need sorting out as well.

 

Wheels - Aftermarket alloys with average tyres

 

As a car its a bit of a disaster with the wrong engine fitted but it started life as a genuine GT turbo. It will be a great project or donor car for someone. please feel free to come and see it.
