1979 Ford Escort RS2000 in need of full restoration. RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid.  NOVA declaration has been done and we will fill out all the paperwork for the new owner to UK register it. Please note its unlikely the DVLA will isuue a V% in its current state so you would need to wait till it was restored or at least partially done and running and driving. It does need a major amount of work but the shell is saveable.

 

Body - RS2000 shell with strengthening brackets, tramp bar brackets and so on. Inner wings are good, centre floors are good and chassis rails are decent. Will need wheel tubs, quarters, doors, wings, sills, bonnet as a minimum. Nosecone is all there and fairly straight. Boot spoiler has a small tear. Has correct RS rear bumper. Has front opening quarter windows.Drivers door pillar is rotten and door is strapped on but not connected 

 

Mechanics - RS2000 engine with correct mounts, sump, bellhousing. African RS use a different axle with anti roll bar set up rather than the tramp bars although the brackets are present on the shell. Engine turns freely with a spanner on the crank but made no attempt to start it as inlet mainfold is not bolted on.

 

Interiors. Roll top seats which need refurbished. clock and pod which we have had out to check the dash is original. rear seats appear to be from a sport

 

Wheels - Horrible old alloys.

 

This car is extremely rough but the shell is saveable. Please feel free to come and see it. We have a ramp so you can poke and prod. Delivery can be arranged if required. please ask for a quote.
