1980 Ford Escort Mk2 1.6 Automatic. RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Nova declaration done and UK registration now complete. Fairly solid original old car which just needs a bit of cosmetic TLC.

Body - 4 Door MK2 Escort shell. Original inner wings, strut tops, sills, rear arches, doorposts. Floors have never been welded. Needs a repair in spare wheel. Paint is a bit flat but with a good polish would be useable. If you wanted it really nice it would be a full paint job. Few cracks on paint on roof. Being an automatic it has the bigger tunnel.

Mechanics - 1600 crossflow which sounds decent. Auto box which selects gears ok. Brakes feel ok but we have only driven it around the industrial estate. Starts runs and drives and was on the road prior to export. Given the age of the car we recommend a full checkover before being used in anger. Carb may need adjusted due to the different climate

Interior - Dash top needs replaced,, rear seats are fine, driver seat has a split. Perfectly useable with a good clean up but you might want to upgrade it.

Wheels - Chrome cyclones with really good 175 70 13 tyres
