Selling on behalf of a customer this lovely little Escort Mk2 which has had fortunes spent on it. Its on the button ready to go and drives very very well. This car started life as a 2 Door 1600 Ghia which has been Silver from new. Its been extensively upgraded and has been done really well. With the car we have the V5, original handbook and a folder full of receipts for money spent on it over the years.

Body - Mk2 2 Door which started life as a ghia. Solid from front to back. Strut top number clearly showing. Underneath has been stripped back and painted at some stage. Showing a wee bit of wear on the paint, but no rot, as the car was used. Paintwork is very nice. Vinyl roof really sets it off. Good bumpers, mex front spoiler, rear boot spoiler, 1700 Sport decals, Small scrape on nsr quarter. Has had a few repairs in the past underneath but they are all solid. This is a really good looking car in this colour combination.

Mechanics - Crossflow engine overbored to about 1700cc, big valve head, cam, steel rocker posts, double valve springs, forged pistons, steel rods, duplex timing chain, fully refurbished twin 40 Dellorto carbs, lightened flywheel, electric fuel pump, oil catch tank, 4 speed box. Front struts have roller top bearings, car is all polybushed, lowered all round, gaz shocks, 4 pot calipers and more. The car has been well put together and drives lovely.

Interior - Flocked dashtop, front Recaros fully retrimmed in leather. Proper nice job with the rear seats done to match. Good door cards, carpet and headlining. Early white needle sport / ghia clocks which all work. Car is as nice inside as it is out.

Wheels - JBW Rs 4 Spokes with Yokohama 185 60 13 tyres.

Great looking little car which has had a lot of money spent over the years. Current owner has had it since 2019 and has done less than a thousand miles in this time.
