Genuine Ford Cortina Lotus. Last owner has had the car since 2003 during which time he has spent a small fortune on it. We have the current V5, old V5, original green document, pictures, old MOTs, original service book and lots or receipts for money spent over the years.  The car has had 7 previous owners and currently shows 36000 miles 

Car was supplied new by Stanway Brothers St Annes on Sea in January 1968. The original service book has a few stamps in it from the late 60s and early 70s but nothing recent.

 

Body - 2 Door Lotus shell with all the correct extra strengthening plates in place. Good solid car which has been painted body colour underneath. its had a few repairs over the years but these are fairly minor. Its a very solid old shell. Panel gaps are not too bad at all and certainly no worse than when they left the factory. The car was taken back to bare metal and repainted a good few years back. There are some photos of it in the file. Paintwork in the main is nice but it has stonechip on bottoms of front wings, front panel and in boot. Lotus stripe looks to be the correct colour but not quite right.  

 

Mechanics - Lotus twincam engine. Dont believe its the original as theres a receipt for  a replacement from Malcolm Wilsom Motorsport. This was rebuilt a number of years ago and not done a huge amount of mileage since. It sounds good and is quiet with no nasty rattles or smoke. The clutch and gearbox are good. Double width anti roll bar fitted, uprated rear shocks, uprated servo, 

 

Interior - Seats were changed to 2 door 1600E items. Original dash and doorcards. Good headlining. The car is very tidy inside with the correct dials

 

Wheels - Genuine Minilites with good 205/60/13 tyres
