1978 Ford Cortina 3.0S MK4. RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. NOVA declaration has been done and we will complete all the UK registration paperwork for the new owner.  This is a very solid original old car which is a bit scruffy and will need a light restoration. This is a genuine factory built 3.0S

 

Body -  Good Inner wings, floors, chassis.boot floor, Doors boot and bonnet are all good. Very original old car which has never been welded and in the main the paint looks original as well.  There are scuffs or marks or rub throughs on most panels and the car will need painted for sure. Both sills have at couple of pin holes at each end and will require a minor repair. Driver side rear  lower inner quarter will also need a repair. You can see exactly what you are getting on this car as there are no cover ups, filler, underseal, or nasty patches. Its very original and has been used.

 

Mechanics - Factory fitted 3.0 Essex engine and 4 speed box. Starts runs and drives. Engine sounds fine. Clutch and brakes are both working. Uses granada front brakes which were factory fitted. It was being used prior to export but as with any old car will need a good checkover before being used in anger. Carb will need adjusted due to the different climate.

 

Interior - Seats will need retrimmed. Door cards are ok  but will need a good scrub up. Dashtop has a crack in the middle. Headlining is OK

 

Wheels - Deep dish steels with good 205/60/13 tyres

 

Very rare car this with only a handful in the UK. It does need a bit work but its a good solid pretty original starting point. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. please ask for a quote
