Here we have a genuine factory built Ford Cortina 3.0 GLS 4 speed manual. This is a RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid and now fully UK Registered. Since the car arrived its had a lot of work done on it to make it road ready. Its a very solid original example and a rare model not available here.

Body - South African built Cortina Mk5 shell with the 5 link rear end for better stability. The 3.0s also had a different slam panel so the radiator can sit further forward. Very original shell which has never been welded. Paint in the main looks very original. Car is really solid from front to back. Paintwork is very presentable. Its not a show winner and has a few age related marks, but a very very tidy original old car. Body needs nothing doing.

Mechanics - Recent engine rebuild with uprated Piper 270 cam, new big ends, mains, thrusts, oil pump and drive, cam bearings, cam followers, fully serviced. New flexi pipes,, clutch, exhaust with stainless boxes, halfshaft bearings, brakes cleaned and adjusted, coolant system flushed and new anti freeze, carb overhauled and new air filter. Just waiting on a new fuel pump arriving and that will also be replaced. Car starts, runs and drives well.

Interior - All original interior which has been cleaned up. Looks really tidy inside.

Wheels - Refurbished Capri Laser 4 spoke wheels with new nuts and good 175/70/13 tyres
