1978 Ford Cortina MK4 1.6L - RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. UK registration has been applied for and should be with us in a few weeks. Car is fairly solid for its age and starts runs and drives. Could be used as it is, as its MOT and Tax exempt. There are a few areas that need a bit work.

Body - MK4 Cortina 4 Door. Good inner wings, chassis, floors, boot floor which all look like they have never been welded or repaired. Will need a repair on inner arch just inside NSR door and inner rear quarter on the passenger side at the rear. Paintwork is useable but Id say its average and certainly no show winner. Inner wings have been stonechipped for some reason. Looks like more of a lazy painter rather than a cover up.

Mechanics - Good quiet 1600 crossflow which fires up no bother with no smoke or nasty rattles. Standard 4 speed gearbox and running gear. Car starts runs and drives and feels quite tight and doesnt feel like its been in a million bits and clobbered back together. As with any old car it will need a good checkover before a full send down the local B Road.

Interior - Looks like the front seats have been recovered. No rips or tears Good dashtop. Door cards are original and useable but not mint. Steering wheel has a few chunks out of it. Looks like edward scissor hands has been using it as a minicab.

Wheels - Aftermarket 15" Alloys with average 195/50/15 Ditchfinder pros
