Ford Capri S Circuit Race Car. This car was used in Scotland for many years in one of the Saloon car championships. Its just had over 20K spent on it but has not yet hit the track. Its a very very quick car with all the right bits on it. It could easily be used after a basic checkover but would probably benefit from a bit of a bodywork refresh. 

 

Body - Uprated Capri shell with 3.0 strengthening. Good original inner wings, strut tops, floors, wings. Lightweight fibreglass boot and bonnet, Could do with a lower rear panel and the paintwork updating. Few minor bubbles but overall a very solid car.

 

Mechanics - 3.0 Essex engine which has recently been rebuilt. Im told it has the following: Long Steel Rods, Short pistons, V67 Cam, Solid Timing Gear, Lightened Flywheel, Pinto Competition Clutch, Larger valves, ported head, solid followers, T5 Cosworth gearbox just been rebuilt as well at a Quaife specialist, New rear slip Diff, Avo shocks which have been rebuilt, adjustable strut tops, coilovers on the front, 2.8 rack, new Crown Wheel and Pinion. 4.4 Final Drive, New Foam Filled FIA tank. Triple Crabs, Custom Rocker Covers. Upgraded calipers and discs. 

 

Interior - Race seat and harness. Aluminium door cards, full cage, stack gauges, alloy switch panel. Fire extinguisher

 

Wheels - 15" Minilites with good Yohohama A0048 tyres. 

 

This is a proper race car and not just a fast road / track day car. It goes very well indeed and could be back on track with minimal work. Fortunes have been spent on it on the important bits. please feel free to come and see the car. We have  armp so you can look underneath.
