Ford Escort XR3 4 Speed carb model. RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. NOVA declaration done. Will need MOTd prior to registration but we will complete all the Uk paperwork for the new owner to register it. Very solid old car which with a bit tlc and better wheels etc could be a really nice one.

 

Body - Early MK3 Escort shell with two bolt strut tops and short rear roof gutters. Original inner wings, floors, crossmember, boot floor. Very solid old car. Has had a battery tray repair in the past otherwise very original. Paintwork is perfectly presentable but if you wanted a show car it would need redone. Being an African built car it has the spats front and rera on the arch lips. Few minor scratches and scuffs but nothing major.

 

Interior - Blue strobe style seats in good condition. Good door cards but door bins missing. Good carpet and headlining. Car has the hard dash rather than the soft one like Uk models. 

 

Mechanics - Good quiet 1600 cvh and 4 speed box. Starts runs and drives and was still in use prior to export. As with any old car will need a checkover before use. 

 

Wheels - Refurbished Cloverleaf Alloys with brand new tyres
