Here we have a very original early Escort Rs Turbo Series 1. This car was supplied new by Frews in Perth Scotland and was waxoyled from new by the original owner. This has undoubtedly saved it. Its never been welded and is a very original unrestored example.

We have the V5 showing 3 previous owners. The owner we got it from has had it since 1994. We have the original bookpack and service book showing 4 stamps in it. Spare key, supplementary Rs turbo manual, letter from the original owner and service receipts, paperwork and old MOTS. We also have the newspaper advert for when it was again sold by Frews of Perth to the second owner. it was last MOT in 2001.

Body - As it was waxoyled from new its very clean and has never been welded. looks like all original panels to me. Vin number still clearly visible on floor. Underbonnet still has the wax on it. We can clean this off if required but wanted to leave it for now and let the new owner decide. Paintwork still looks decent. There are a few stone chips on the front end as youd expect but overall a super original example. The front towing eye cover is a bit discoloured and it has the usual gravel rash on the front of the rear arches. Again we can rectify both these quite easily if required but wanted to advertise the car as found. It has the sunroof, electric windows and rear opening quarter windows.

Mechanics - Car starts, runs and drives and has two immobilisers fitted. The engine sounds really good and the last owner stated it was serviced and new timing belt before he put it in storage. This will all need redone and the car properly recommissioned before using it. Gearbox and clutch are good. Brakes are a bit spongy.

Interior - All original and in good order. Dash in the main is good with only a tiny crack at one of the vents. Good steering wheel. Seats are nice. Bit of an indent on drivers bolster. Could maybe do with new foam on that otherwise very good and original inside. Door cards are good. Parcel shelf has speaker holes but we have period speakers to fill it.

Wheels - 5 x original Alloys. tyres are old and will need replaced.
