1981 Ford Escort 1600 Sport. RHD Import from South Africa. Really tidy example which starts runs and drives and is very solid. Needs a few small jobs doing but will make a really good example. All tax and import duty has been paid and we have the UK V5 here. Its registered as NNT636W.

Body - Mk2 Escort export spec strengthened shell with similar strengthening to our RS models at the front. Solid car which doesnt need any welding. Looks like its had repairs on front floors and boot wells in the past. They are not invisible repairs but not overly offensive patches either. Paintwork is really tidy in its original colour of Cress Green. It has been repainted at some point in its life. Good bumpers, spotlights and trim. Good looking car

Mechanics - Original 1600 crossflow engine which starts and runs OK. Its fairly quiet with no nasty smoke or rattles. 4 speed gearbox and standard running gear. Carb will need adjustment or replaced due to the different climate. Its driveablke but does have a bit of a flatspot when cold.

Interior - Original interior which is pretty decent. Drivers seat will need a couple of small repairs but we do have spare cloth here which can go with the car. Good dashtop, headlining. Door cards have speaker holes unfortunately. Why did we do that back then???

Wheels - Standard sport deep dish steels with good 175 / 70/ 13 tyres
