1980 Ford Escort Mk2 Van. RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. UK reg has been applied for. Good solid old van which starts runs and drives but their is room for improvement for sure.

Body - Escort Mk2 Van shell. Good original inner wings, strut tops, pillars, rear arches, load area is good. Had a repair on one side front floor using flat plate which would be better being redone. The rest looks fairly good. Bit of bubbling on nsf wing. Paintwork is ok and perfectly useable but no show pony for sure. Roof gutters are good.

Mechanics - Good 1600 crossflow engine with 5 speed box fitted. Starts runs and drives but will need a good service and carb adjusted due to the very different climate in South Africa. Van will need a good checkover before being put into service as we have only driven around the industrial estate in it.

Interior - Aftermarket seats and steering wheel which are a bit naff. Sport clocks. Speedo works, rev counter doesnt. Rear has been carpeted but load area underneath is good.

Wheels - Deep dish sport steels with good 175 70 13 tyres all round. one wheel looks to have had a bit rim damage in the past .

Not a show car for sure but great potential to take to the next level. You are welcome to come and see the van. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
