1968 MK1 Escort Van. This is a very early van as it has the compression struts rather than an anti roll bar. Its a RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. The NOVA declaration has been done and we will complete all the registration paperwork for you. This is a very solid van. 

 

Body - MK1 Escort Van. Very solid unrestored shell. Original inner wings, floors arches, load area. Doesnt look like its ever been welded. Probably as good a shell as any mk1 van ive seen. Paintwork is fairly tidy but there are a few minor marks here and there. Front spoiler is not my cup of tea and could do with being removed. 

 

Mechanics - 1600 crossflow with throttle bodies. Starts runs and drives 4 speed box. Will need a good checkover as with any old vehicle. Fuel pump needs relocated as its on the inner floor, probably about the worst possible place to put it. Brakes and clutch are good.

 

Interior - Very basic with aftermarket seats but tidy enough.

 

Wheels - 7" compomotive style alloys with good tyres.

 

This is a very solid early van. It will need a good mechanical checkover and a few fixes but you wont find a better unrestored one underneath. Please feel free to come and see it. We have  a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote
