1975 Ford Escort Mk1 2 Door fitted with a 2.0 Pinto on Twin 40s. This is a RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. The car is now UK registered and we have the V5 here. It starts runs and drives and is very solid underneath. There is room for a bit improvement and for someone to add their own touches to it.

Body - Standard Mk1 Escort 2 Door shell- Very solid and original underneath. Has never been welded and looks very original underneath. It does need one minor repair on the rear wheel tub / spare wheel area. If someone wants to pay the asking price we will happily sort this out. Original inner wings, strut tops,floors, sills, pillars. Just a good honest shell throughout. Paintwork is perfectly useable but its not a concours car for sure. Front bumpers are fibreglass items painted. Rear bumper is metal but also been painted with chrome paint. Quite a straight old car along the sides. Probably wants a set of stripes of some sort to cheer it up.

Mechanics - 2.0 Pinto on steel sump, Twin 40s fitted, not sure on the engine spec but it pulls well once warmed up. 4 speed box fitted. Brakes and clutch are good. Welded diff which is a bit aggresive on slow tight turns but corners well at speed. Front coilovers and adjustable camber strut tops. Rear lowering blocks fitted. Car will need a good checkover from front to back. Might need carbs adjusted due to the different climate.

Interior - 2 Dial dash, aftermarket front seats, original rear. Good door cards and headlining.

Wheels - Capri Laser 4 spokes powdercoated with 175/70/13 tyres which havent done a mile yet.
