Ford Escort Mk1 1600. This car was brought over from Europe about 5 years ago and was converted to right hand drive. Its an extremely solid unmolested shell. Its all fully UK registered and start runs and drives. Small fortune been spent in last few years on new parts. 

 

Body - Mk1 Escort 2 door shell. Has been converted from LHD to RHD. Still has the cut out in the inner wing which came on lhd models. Original strut tops, inner wings, sills, arches, boot floor, boot wells etc. Very good underneath. Previous owner cleaned underneath and painted in grey stonechip. Floor is solid from front to back.  Paintwork is ok but no concourse winner. Would definitely benefit from a flat and a polish. 

 

Mechanics - Good 1.6 crossflow, which was rebuilt a few years back. New 38 DGAS carb on manual choke. 4 speed gearbox. Capri front struts, uprated brakes, poly bushes, new steering rack, tcas. Single leaf rear springs, gaz adjustable rear shocks. 

 

Interior - 6 dial dash. Oil pressure and rev counter not working. standard rear seats. Front aftermarket bucket style seats and harnesses. Dash top has a crack on it. Good headlining, door cards and carpet.

 

Wheels - 6" RS style alloys with 175/70/13 tyres.

 

Overall a very solid car which has had a few quid spent on it. There is a bit room for improvement but the shell and mechanics are very good. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so yopu can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
