1976 Ford Escort Mk2 in need of restoration. Its been fitted with a 2.0 Pinto engine and 5 speed box. Its not a Genuine 1600 Sport. Its a RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Its now fully Uk registyered as ODD386P. Car still has its original floors and they are good but it does need a restoration

Body - Mk2 Escort standard spec shell. Good inner wings, struttops, sills, arches are original. Floors are original as is the spare wheel well. Will need repairs on both rear wheel wells, Bubbling along roof gutter, both scuttle corners, lower osr quarter and both door bottoms. The door bottoms looklike they have been repaired before and filled. Paintwork will need redone as part of the restoration. Sport / Mexico front spoiler, sport quarter bumpers. Spotlights fitted and sport decals.

Mechanics - 2.0 Pinto fitted with standard sump. Crossmember has been modified by getting a shark to bite a chunk out of it...thats what it looks like....standard sump and mounts. Does start and run. Not really driven it far enough to properly assess it but brakes and clutch work. 5 speed box fitted. Wiring is like spaghetti junction and needs sorting. Car will need going through front front to back. The 4 inch nail used as a splitpin tells you the quality of the build.

Interior - Sport Interior. Seats are useable but not perfect. Dashtop is horrible and needs burnt. Doorcards have been repaired and will need replaced.

Wheels - Deep dish sport steels which need refurbed. Tyres are Ditchfinder Pros.

Good shell underneath but will need restored and lots of bad workmanship undone. Dont be fooled into thinking youll have this on the road in a weekend. Its a full resto but not the worst starting point. Please come and see it and we can put it up on the ramp. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote
