Ford Escort 1600 Sport - RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid and NOVA registration done. We will do all the paperwork for the UK reg in the new owners name. Car is mot and tax exempt. As  a car its a scruffy old shed but its a really very good shell and its starts runs and drives so great basis for a project.

 

Body - Export spec sport shell with similar front end strengthening to our RS models. Good original inner wings, strut tops, sills, arches, floors. Couple of dents on front floor pans and rtails but extremely solid. Will need repairs in both boot wells but otherwise a very strong shell. Paintwork is scruffy and seen better days. There are dings on most panels . Might need a driver door skin due to dents rather than rot. Same door also needs a repair round door catch area. Evidence of a minor bump on osr corner at rear light.

 

Interior - Very scruffy inside but all there. Seats been recovered , dash top cracked. Door cards are rough. 

 

Mechanics - Car does start run and drive. Good 1600 engine which sounds prett good. 5 speed box been fitted. Clutch and brakes are working. Car would obviously need checking over thoroughly before using as its been stood a while.

 

Wheels - Standard deep dish sport wheels in need of refurbishment. Tyres are poor

 

Overall a great shell with great potential. Please feel free to come and see the car . We have a ramp so you can look underneath. If restrictions are in place we can do you as many pictures and videos as you need.
