1979 Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport. RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Nova declaration has been done and the UK registration will be applied for. This is a very solid original car which has not been messed with. It starts runs and drives well.

Body - Export spec 1600 Sport shell with extra strengthening similar to our RS models. Good original inner wings, strut tops, sills, arches, floors. N/S Front floors has a small dent but original. Boot wells look to have been repaired in the past and done very well otherwise no other welding has been done or needed. Front Spoiler , quarter bumpers, original ford spotlights. Paintwork is tidy and very presentable but not a show winner. Couple of blisters on top of one of the wings but not bad and paint not broken

Mechanics - Good AX block 1600 crossflow. 4 speed box. Starts runs and drives. This car drives well and doesnt feel like its been in a million bits and clobbered back together. They never drive as well as they do when they are untouched. Carb may need adjusted for Uk climate. Brakes and runnnig gear are all standard 1600 sport.

Interior - Original black interior which is in good order. Door cards are uncut. Good steering wheel, carpet and headlining. Dash top has a small split

Wheels - 4 spoke alloys with 187/70/13 tyres or we can gibe you the standard deep dish steels.
