1979 Ford Escort 1600 Sport . RHD Import which is now fully UK registered as HLL 103T. We have the V5 here. The car starts runs and drives and is a very good shell but needs put together better.

Body - Original inner wings, strut tops. Has had a minor repair at the lower heater bubble. Original wings, doors are good, original arches but arch lips are rolled. Boot floor is good. Floors are all original and solid. Has had repairs in both wheel wells but done with proper repair panels. Paintwork is OK and perfectly useable but not mint / show quality. Needs no welding

Mechanics - 1600 crossflow which on first start up smoked like a beagle in a laboratory. Its calmed down now but might need further investigation. 4 speed gearbox, clutch is Ok, brakes work. Car will need checked over from front to back. Pretty noisy inside as no real sound deadening under carpet.

Interior - Seats have been retrimmed and are nice. Door cards are aftermarket. New dash top to be fitted this week as we have one here. Will need a new parcelshelf. Rev counter and speedo not working.

Wheels - Set of Laser wheels which need refurbed to make mint. Tyres are OK.

Overall not a bad shell at all but you will need to go backwards before you go forwards as a lot of stuff on the car will need looked at / fitted better etc. You are welcome to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote
