Advertising on behalf of a customer this 1966 Mk1 Cortina GT. Its only had 4 previous owners. We have the V5 here, original service manual, photos of the car in its early years, MOTS dating back to its first MOT in 1969. This is not a car thats been hidden away, it was used very much as intended. Its recently had a mechanical overhaul and runs and drives very well. It could do with the paintwork updating to take the car to the next level.

Body - MK1 Cortina GT shell with tramp bar brackets intact. The car is solid underneath currently and is painted body colour. There is evidence of repairs over the years in the usual places, which are visible. You can see exactly whats been done as its not hiding under gallons of underseal. Underbonnet area has recently been refreshed and is very tidy. Boot area is good and solid. Paintwork is showing its age a bit. Its perfectly useable but if you wanted a show car youd need to update the paintwork. Bubbling on the bottom of 3 of the doors and evidence of previous repairs in these areas as well as the bottoms of wings. Not uncommon for a near 60 year old car, by any means. Gold flash is a decal rather than painted. Good quarter bumpers, grille, mirrors.

Mechanics - Underbonnet area is very tidy and the car has had a fair bit of money spent on it mechanically in the past. Engine is very quiet. Gearbox, clutch and brakes are all good, alloy radiator fitted, electronic ignition. The car drives very well and feels tight with no play in the steering like some. Rev counter and fuel gauge currently not working. All other gauges working OK. Oil service recently carried out with good quality Valvoline oil.

Interior - Correct GT interior. Front seats have recently been repaired and are in good order. Good dash top. Original door cards. Nice and tidy inside.

Wheels -7" Superlites with good tyres.
