Here we have a genuine 1 owner, zero previous owners on the V5, Capri Mk2 1600 GTS. These were commonly known as a JPS even though thats not what Ford called them. I thought Id get that in there before theres an onslaught of folk dying to correct me. This particular car was bought new from Armour Motors Ford in Giffnock in Glasgow by a gentleman from the Edinburgh area. The car was only used till 1981, covering 53000 miles, when it was garaged for some reason. We have the original V5, a current style V5 and confirmation from the DVLA that they have inspected the car and are happy its genuine. We also have paperwork from Capri Club International confirming the cars identity. It will need a light restoration but its totally complete and can be heard running

Body - This car has been ziebarted from new which has saved it. The inner wings still havev the black coating on them but it does come off. It looks solid underbonnet. Floors in the main are very good just a bit flakey on the factory underseal and a bit surface rusty in places, but very original. It will need a pair of sills, repairs on wing bottoms and bottoms of arches have bubbling. Few storage chips dents n dings round it, but its all there and looks very original, apart from possibly the front spoiler. The car will need a full paint as part of the restoration

Mechanics - Original engine, box and running gear. Around 5 years ago this car was given a bit of a mechanical recommission so it could be moved about. It had brakes, oil service, plugs, and a new exhaust at that point. The car will start and run and we have moved it about our yard. Further work would obviously be required to make it roadworthy.

Interior - Original seats, dash, steering wheel, door cards, headling all in fairly good order. No rips or tears and all perfectly reusable with a clean and maybe a tighten up on the seat fabric. These are all the bits thats almost imposssible to get now when restoring one of these.

Wheels - 5 Correct Alloys with correct code ending in -C and original centre caps. Spare looks like its never been used. Good Year Grand Prix S tyres all round which are very old and would need replaced.

This is a bit of a unicorn being a 1 owner GTS in white. i know its not cheap but find another thats 1 owner and unrestored and complete. You are welcome to come and see the car. we have a ramp so you can carry out a full inspection. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
