Ford Capri 280 Brooklands in need of restoration, 53000 miles and 5 owners from new. I first bought this car from the owner 18 months ago. He had owned it since 1997. At that point it came with a stamped service book to back up the mileage and some history. I then sold it to a well known parts specialist and car restorer who intended to restore it at some point. Unfortunately they recently had a fire which was all over the internet and not a myth. The keys docs and service history were lost in the fire. The car is complete but will need restored

 

Body - Original shell. Definitely not a basket case but will need work. Good inner wings and strut tops. Good A posts. Will need a bonnet, repairs to roof but we do have a full spare roof that will come with the car. repairs to arches, Floor in the main is not too bad but gas split where it meets the sill on the drivers side. Couple of minor repairs in boot floor. Good bit of work needing done but not been botched up before and ive seen way worse cars getting restored. Doors are good. Tailgate has a hole below the screen but is repairable

 

Interior - Original interior in generally good condition. Back seat is fine, Front seats have no rips or tears just need a good clean. Headlining is good, Carpet is good. Dashboard has the usual cracks.

 

Wheels - Original Brooklands 15" alloys with 5th alloy in the boot

 

Mechanics - All standard and as it should be . A good friend of ours got this up and running about 4 years ago and it sounded healthy enough. Will obviously need going through from front to back. 

 

Car probably looks worse than it is due to lying about for a while. The good thing is it that it is complete so you dont have to spend fortunes on elusive parts.
